Makanan akan jadi darah daging

Saya dapat email nih from a friend of mine:

Question:
Dear Marilyn,

Another element of halal is on the use of alcohol in food preparation / cooking or the presence of alcohol in the ingredient use such as sauces etc.

Can you tell me whether Sushi King use alcohol or use materials
(such as sauces) that content alcohol?

And this is what management of Sushi King replied:

Answer:
Dear Mr. Abdul Rahman Omar,

Thank you for your email. For your information, we are not a Halal restaurant as we do not have certification from JAKIM, but we only can claim us as Pork free. All our meat based products like chicken and beef are Halal Certified and we do not use any pork or pork derivatives in our restaurant.

Sushi King is not certified ‘Halal’. This is due to some of our food contains ‘Mirin’.

Mirin is derived from fermentation of rice and it is commonly used in Japanese cooking to enhance the taste of food.

Following are products that contains Mirin:
1. Unagi Kabayaki
2. Unagi Slice
3. Karei Nitsuke
4. Saba Misoni
5. Mamakari
6. Ikura

On top of that, some of our restaurants do sell beer

However, our meat materials such as chicken, beef and seafood are from Halal Certified source.

ERRRKKK...!!!

Last time tahu pasal Johnny's takde sijil halal from JAKIM. This time Sushi King pulak. Ohh, kopitiam tak payah mention la, terlalu banyak kesnya!

Setahu saya, mana-mana restaurant yang served beer @ alcohol memang tidak akan dapat sijil halal from JAKIM. Cuma bahan mentah yang digunakan je contohnya macam daging atau ayam boleh diberi sijil halal (kalau restaurant yang berkenaan apply la). Macam Tony Roma's, TGI Friday, Italiannese tu memang takda sijil halal sebab ada serve alcohol.

Berkali-kali makan kat Sushi King. Tak tahu mereka sebenarnya tidak termasuk dalam kategori tempat makan yang berstatus halal. Ya, silap saya. Tidak tahu dan tidak peka. T________T

Patutlah asyik malas memanjang. Ibadah pun lompang sana sini. Itu tanda hati tak bersih. Salah satu sebab ialah makan benda tak bersih. Faham maksud saya? Plus, kan makanan akan jadi darah daging. Darah daging akan membentuk keturunan.
Tengok betapa tak pekanya saya terhadap isu besar macam nih. Astagfirullah...

P/S:
Mari lancarkan kempen masak dan makan di rumah. Dijamin halal dan jimat wang.

Hi there :). Teringat dulu pi TGI Friday kat The Curve and I tanya are the steaks contain alcohol to a non muslim waitress and she replied Yes, it contains alcohol but we are using Halal meat... errk..terus tak jadi order.

dah baca dah. kat dlm buletin utama ahad lepas pun ada keluar isu nih. beribu hotel kat malaysia, yg ada halal kat dapur cuma 50 je. nasib la sy bkn jenis yg suka mkn kat hotel (motip? nan hado mampu muakakak)

kedai bukak kecil2an sajork kak. kelengkapan blm diangkut ke mari hehe.

dl ada chat box tp kena spam dgn bodow piang tah sapa2, sy remove terus. komen mmg sy disable. comunicate melalui emel sajork konsepnya..hahahahaha
